For some reason, I am brought into frequent contact with the sentiment that detailed technical knowledge of a thing somehow detracts from the potential aesthetic appreiciation of that thing. I blame popular culture, and the portrayal of caricatured, impersonal sceintists, especially medical doctors, in film & television.

I'll let you in on a secret: it's not true. One might even go so far as to define scientist as "one who finds joy in learning, and beauty in understanding".

In other news, Star Wars sucks, but Yoda still rocks. Except for the bit in episode 3 where he anticipates the misinterpretation of the prophecy, but that doesn't have any effect on the story and everyone immediately forgets about it. What I mean to say is, Yoda can play the guitar.

I think His vocals are a little to earthy, but he can play the drums quite nicely *nods* but his Guitar work is quite awesome :D

Cheers to that...to know is to love. But I have found films less pleasing for knowing too much about how it could be done better.
